ROTIG Frédéric 1873-1961 animal painter E.Benezit: Rotïg georges Frédéric Born October 1, 1873 in Le Havre (Seine-Maritime). Died in 1961. French Animal painter, He was a student of Benjamin Constant, Jules Lefebvre and Jean Paul Laurens at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. He exhibited in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1814, of which he was an associate member. He received a medal in 1902 and 1904. The Rosa Bonheur Prize in 1913. He paints animals in their daily lives.
