Object description :

""Venise" Le Canal Grande - Michele Marieschi"
Spectacular Venetian view representing the entrance to the Grand Canal Customs with the Church of Health, in one of the most evocative views of the Fantastic City. The extraordinary pictorial quality, evident both in the writing of the architecture and in the realization of the figures and boats, leads us immediately to an author very close to the production of the great master Antonio Canal called "the Canaletto" and more precisely at the workshop of the famous Venetian sailor Michele Marieschi (Venice 1710-1743). This important artist, one of the leading figures among Lagunari masters, despite his short life, managed to achieve a considerable number of views of the City of the highest level and at his death the workshop was taken over by his best pupil, Francesco Albotto, it's me. (Venice 1721-1758). A particularity of the Marieschi, then taken over by the Albotto, was to make small brushstrokes in a semicircle to simulate the movement of the water, a pictorial choice drawn from some works of Canaletto, and that we find in our beautiful canvas. The perfect preservation of the painting, in addition to the ideal size, are two important values added to this magnificent view of Venice. Measures: canvas 90 x 70 frame 112 x 92 Certificate of authenticity FIMA CINOA We do not send this important painting, but we deliver it directly.
