"High Lantern, Ornate Brass, Nineteenth."
In the style of the eighteenth century, a large lantern of vestibule, four faces glazed, in brass repoussé, offering a decor of well distributed patterns of oves, darts, acanthus leaves, fleurs-de-lis, sequins at its base and on the amounts. Its summit, formed in a dome with rounded sides, has on each of its faces a winged putto in an environment of foliage, fake cornucopia, dragon heads and large acanthus leaves falling at the corners. The damping of the dome is pierced with stylized hearts for ventilation. Glazed glass lantern on the faces including the pierced door allowing aeration also. The light electrification and hanging from the top is up to standard. Lantern period nineteenth century in excellent condition.
