Pair of canephor candles in chiseled bronze, gilded and patinated (brown patina). The binet with basketry motif, the canephore-shaped woman-shaped barrel resting on a fluted base decorated with a laurel frieze, terminated by a circular base with three concentric levels. In very good shape. I point out the missing bobins and wear to the gilding. Late eighteenth. Height: 33.5 cm, diameter: 14.5 cm. Provenance: succession of the Dukes of Massa and the Empire. An identical pair sold at Christie's Paris on December 19, 2007 under the number 377.
