Japanese Meiji 1900, Painted, Applied Mother-of-pearl Bracelet, 12 Animal Medallions, Shakudo

Composed of 12 cartridges, in a silver brass alloy or "paktong" this bracelet is a nice souvenir of the Meiji era. Each cartridge enchasse a plate of mother-of-pearl, painted with vegetal landscapes on which are applied tiny animals and insects in "shakudo" .. Each of cartridges are connected to each other by a hinge, the bracelet closes well, and is provided with a security chain, probably in silver.
Rare and curious Japanese bracelet, Meiji period, Circa 1900.
Excellent condition, no break, no flaw, few wear.
