African Fetish Keala Standing

This beautiful object was given to me with a certificate of authenticity by its previous owner, It is a Keala statue (Cross River region, Nigeria) of the mid-twentieth century. I am translating part of the document: A large anthropomorphic figure in hand-carved wood, standing on his two legs slightly bent with male genitals delimited ... and so follow a few lines of detail. Me what interests me is the soul of this object, what was it used for, when was it honored or used .... what powers is it invested?
