"Roger Bravard"Professor at the School of Applied Art in Paris, Roger BRAVARD joined in 1948 the emerging artistic movement: "Sanzism". In this post-war era of abstraction debate, many artists come together claiming their freedom to paint and refusing "ism" movements. BRAVARD will always defend an independent art, out of all influence. Although known for his highly synthetic landscapes, Roger BRAVARD is especially sought after for his live crowd scenes or animated genre scenes of several moving characters. He excels in this pictorial exercise, oh so demanding, that few artists have dared to practice .. This representation of a rugby match, suggesting the speed and strength of shock, is the illustration.
