"Samuel Waret : "a Corner Of Street In Paris""
I found it !I had to put it on the shelf with frames at the time and I put one on it, then another ...
So, when looking for a frame for a small painting I will visit this shelf and there , yessss !
If Samuel Waret was a goldsmith (a bracelet is kept in the Museum of Decorative Arts) he tirelessly painted during his leisure the picturesque corners of Paris, some watercolors are preserved in the national collections, as here, this corner at once Gothic and Renaissance seen from a shaded balcony of a tarpaulin.
On a drawing combining pen and pencil, the artist poses subtile touches of watercolor, suggesting the dawn that yellow the sky. Watercolor 19 X 12 cm, circa 1900, mounted in a beautiful wood frame carved and gilded style a little rubbed 27 X 21.
