"Pair Of Belt Guns At The Miquelet, Spain Late Eighteenth"
Pair of belt guns "la miquelet" (Spain eighteenth century) Cannons, with long thunder pans then round, and carved and chiseled on the middle. They are insulated from the mark of the gunner in a cartridge under crown. The plates of the "miquelet" system are engraved with foliage. The carved brass fittings are engraved with rock and jewels and enriched with medallions bearing a grotesque face. The frames are provided with hooks of belt (a welded) The woods are in walnut with piece of horn at the mouth. Wooden sticks, one of which carries a cartouche with a cross. Pair very probably made in Ripoll around 1780. Very good state of conservation. Perfect operation of the turntables. Length Total 26cm Length of the guns 14,4cm Diameter 17mm
