"Hunter Clock"
Gilded bronze clock representing a hunter near a rock from which flows a spring where his dog drinks. Enamelled white dial (small shards) with black Roman numerals signed "Armingaud Lne in Paris". Rectangular base with cut sides resting on five feet, the cartouche opposite represents a scene of hare hunting. Each side is decorated with a scene of a couple of birds. ARMINGAUD the Elder, master Parisian watchmaker active at the end of the 18th century and Empire. Original mercury gilding. Empire period. Revised and in working order.
