It consists of a pair of tomb-shaped andirons with a caparisoned lion.
The cornice is decorated with Mars attributes, cornucopias and a ram's head.
The volute feet represent the bust of Hercules, the head and shoulders are decorated with the skin of the lion of Nemea.
