"False Pair Of Golden Wood Candlesticks, Late Eighteenth"Pretty faulse pair of altar candles spear wood turned and gilded.
Italian work of the late eighteenth century. The 2 spades have exactly the same shape, the same size and the same decor but have slight differences in the size of the foliage incised on the barrel and one of the rings under the neck has a frieze of carved pearls.
The cups for receiving the wax are made of sheet metal and the pins made of beaten iron.
Nice general condition despite some slight lack of gilding which is still very fresh and with a beautiful patina.
