"Golden Silver Ciborium, France Paris Circa 1819-1838"
The gilded silver ciborium is composed of a rounded heel with a rounded heel, a stem with a collar and a bow-shaped knot, a perforated false-cut and a cup with a lid. The base is decorated with a repoussé and chiselled decoration of rosettes, ears of wheat, vines, reeds and palmettes in its bulging part and underlined by a frieze of water leaves. The false cut associates once more the vine, the ears of wheat and reeds alternating with palm leaves. The lid also presents a vegetal decoration, repeating the ornamentation of the base and surmounted by a radiant and flowery cross.
