"Basil Netchitailoff (1888-1980) "alley Animated In Provence" Russian Painter, Eze, Frame Mouth"
Pretty oil / panel Netchitaïloff Basil representing a lively street in Provence, signed lower right. Format out of frame 34x22cm This is a very beautiful composition post-impressionist by this excellent Russian painter. The touch is powerful and his palette is more subtle, the artist plays cleverly clear dark between the gap of the sky that illuminates this picture and the darker street that gives it depth. This is an alleyway in Provence around 1930/40, the artist liked to put his easel on the Cote d'Azur especially to Eze, Antibes, but also Avignon, Manosque etc .... he also made frequent stays in Italy including Venice. This excellent Russian painter is referenced in several books alongside the greatest Russian painters of the school of Paris or elsewhere as in the excellent book "RUSSIA UNKNOWN" Russian art of the first half of the twentieth century Paris - Monaco - riviera masterpieces from the collection Tatiana and Georges Khatsenkov where Netchitaïloff rubs the Altmanns, Survage, Tharkoff, Peské, Widhopff etc ... The painting that I propose is in perfect condition, it is also delivered in a sumptuous frame Old mouth . Authentic guarantee
