An oil on canvas measuring 73X60 cm (without the frame) representing Notre Dame de Paris, circa 1935. This painting was exhibited at the Schmit Gallery, 396 rue du Faubourg St Honoré in Paris in 1970.

Maurice Asselin born June 24, 1882 in Orleans and died September 27, 1947 in Neuilly-sur-Seine is a French painter and engraver attached to the School of Paris. Maurice Asselin is best known for his still lifes and his nudes. Another recurring theme in her work is motherhood, which has reached rare levels of delicacy. He also devoted himself to the watercolor and landscape painting of his beloved Brittany. He lived from 1911 to 39, rue Lamarck, from 1916 to 121, rue de Caulaincourt in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, then from 1925 to 45, rue du Bois-de-Boulogne in Neuilly-sur-Seine .
