Object description :

"Plaster Of Emile Antoine Bourdelle, Mask Of André Rouveyre, 1909."
Workshop plaster representing the head (masuqe) of André Rouveyre patinated plaster 31 cm high, signed "EA Bourdelle 1909", in the neck on the right and signed inside "Bourdelle 1909". This mask was made a few months after making the bust stele of the bearded writer. Bourdelle was then struck by this shaven face that gave off a powerful character, so he realized the portrait of the writer ... glabrous. The Bourdelle museum preserves several plasters and bronze of this mask, perfectly contemporary of the Head of Apollo. In very good condition, small lack on the base, without any gravity.
