Ciborium vermeil resting on a circular base, it is covered with a bas-relief decor, repoussé and chiseled. The edge of the foot is adorned with a row of pearls and three cherub heads in bas-relief stand out against a background of clouds. A frieze of water leaves separates the edge of the top of the foot. The latter is decorated with ears of wheat, vine leaves and reeds and enhanced with figurative subjects: the busts of Christ, the Virgin and Saint Joseph, each occupying an oval medallion. The stem has a pear-shaped knot and several collar and ring: same plant decoration, palmettes and strings, interlacing and pearls. The false cup, which flares above a corolla of leaves, has three oval medallions dedicated to the allegories of Theological Virtues. These medallions are accosted with ears of wheat, vines and reeds. These decorative subjects, with the exception of the three Virtues, are repeated on the lid, summed by a cross. They alternate with pairs of cherubs emerging from clouds. French work between 1847-1889 Punches Minerva 950/1000 on the foot, at the edge of the cup, on the false-cut, on the lid and on the cross.
