Axel WALLERT (1890-1962) Art Deco 1925 Fishing Boats A stylish Art Deco period painting of Mediterranean fisher folk at Bocca di Magra on the Italian coast. Wallert was born in Sweden in 1890 and studied at the Higher Art Industrial School in Stockholm between 1909 and 1912. He won a state scholarship which enabled him to travel between 1923 and 1927.
