"Charabiyan Persian Rug, Iran, 236 Cm X 357 Cm, Hand Knotted , Circa 1960"
Persian carpet Charabiyan family of Heriz, Iran circa 1960. In highland wool, hand knotted, natural colors, about 250,000 knots per square meter. This carpet has beautiful shades of colors, developed over time and very warm shades, red, blue, contrast with darker blues, which makes it very bright. The field is very worked and set in a border of the most beautiful effect.
The fringes are clean. In very good shape. From the small town of Heriz, about 50 kilometers east of Tabriz, with its neighbor Ghorovan, come some of the most recognizable carpets of the Persians.
Mainly in the medallion design on a brick red background color, the curvilinear designs so typical of Persia have no place in the Heriz product. The drawings are completely angular, the characteristics closest to the Caucasus are not far to the north.
There is no trace of antiquity in these products, but very good pieces were made about fifty years ago.
These woven and colored carpets are very resistant and make an ideal decoration for large pieces.
This rug has been cleaned professionally and ecologically.
