Beautiful wooden convertible chair relaqué. Well balanced and finely carved model with pannier handle back, rudent fluted feet, finely carved rosettes in relief. Parisian work of Louis XVI, it bears the stamp of a good carpenter in seats: Marc Gautron. Marc Gautron, master October 25, 1785. He lived rue Cléry until the Revolution. He produced classic Louis XVI style seats, molded and carved with care. excellent condition: Seat fully restored to new. luxury production, the seat was originally in gilded wood and then was relaqué in gray. We had it covered with a Bordeaux-colored silk flaw. The silk flaw is a silk of superior quality, which is characterized by its great strength (silk weaving is much denser cm² than satin or damask). Everything is enhanced with tonal stripes with an old-fashioned trim in horsehair on straps. Height: 88cm Width: 57,5 cm Seat height: 41cm
