Antique console of the eighteenth century, carved and gilded with gold leaf, after a probable drawing of Gregorio Petondi (PETONDI Giovanni Angelo Gregorio). Consisting of 4 feet connected by a carved cross shaped rock and flowers festoons, marble top shaped peach blossom. Sculptures and refined forms with strong similarities to a wall table kept at the NATIONAL GALLERY of PALAZZO SPINOLA in Genoa in E.COLLE "The rococo furniture in Italy, Home Furnishings and Decorations from 1738 to 1775" Mi, 2003 pg. 264. Very similar to a console of the Palace of Retorbido (formerly Durazzo) of Genoa, which is now part of a private collection at A. GONZALES PALACIOS "Furniture in Liguria" GE 1996, pag. 169. The Rococo style typical of the Genoese region gives this extraordinary console an elegant and refined line. Recently restored. Our reference code M 026.
