China, XIXth century, important and very beautiful pair of bronze vases presenting a rich decoration in high relief of vegetation in which are birds, ducks and toads. We can see on each vase four birds in the branches, two ducks on the base and a toad. Very beautiful sculpture requiring a cast of high quality. Under the base, the geometric trellis pattern is reminiscent of that often used in the Ming Dynasty era. The six-character archaic signature is visible in a square-shaped cartouche; Good condition except for some slight deformations around the top and the base as well as slight normal wear and no impact.
