"Table A La Tronchin"
Table Tronchin mahogany, lacquered black, resting on four feet sheaths ending with bronze hooves, it opens with a belt drawer and two side zippers, the top forming a writing rack system rack. The table reading rack, called "Tronchin" appeared under the reign of Louis XVI. Invented in 1777 by a certain Louis DUFOUR who gave him the name of a famous doctor of Geneva, Théodore Tronchin (1709-1781), with the aim of being able to work as well sitting as standing Period early 19th century.
