"Jb Lelarge Large Set Of 9 Louis XVI Period Seats - Sofa 2 Bergeres 6 Armchairs - Stamp"Important chateau lounge with Louis XVI period locket, it is composed of 6 cabriolets, 2 chairs, 1 big sofa. Our set is a true living room that has not been divided over the past 200 years. The 6 armchairs and the sofa are stamped by Jean Baptiste Lelarge, the shepherdesses are not stamped, but also from Lelarge: the model with the same dice of connections and the same finishes. Jean-Baptiste III Lelarge is one of the best carpenters in sieges of the reign of Louis XVI. He took over from his father Jean-Baptiste II Lelarge and worked for a rich French and foreign clientele (King of Portugal among others). The majority of Jean-Baptiste Lelarge's seats have a very good appearance: robust, without heaviness, rigorously constructed, impeccably assembled, they are adorned with simple moldings or fine and incisive sculptures, well distributed, without overload. This is exactly the case of our beautiful armchairs, a simple model known but executed by a great master. Everything is perfect. NB: rare quality to note, the sofa is long (2m - 4 people seated) but is not very deep. It takes much less space and space than a standard Louis XVI sofa At first we propose this set as it is covered with a fabric horsehair tinted (salmon and ivory, inverted pattern for the sofa, the bergères compared to armchairs). The upholstery of the seats are in good condition and do not require a total refection, just to be covered with new. We are able to restore the entire salon to special order, put the fabric of your choice, take the trim, clean the lacquer or repatinate your choice.
