"Boxwood Snuffbox With Portrait Of Napoleon"
Carved boxwood snuff box with Napoleon portrait cap. - on the one hand a wedding basket with 2 turtle doves - on the other a musical decoration. Object retracing the Napoleonic legend later used ostensibly as a rallying sign of the nostalgic of the Emperor. Dimensions: height of 7.2 cm. France around 1825/1830. Note: similar in La Fleur du Mal pages 73/75.
