The problem I have with the drawings is that if I do not frame them quickly, I slip them into one of the many cartons of the Gallery "while waiting to take care of it" ! I bought this oil on paper 62 X 48 cm, more than 20 years ago ... I do not know anything about the artist who must have been from South-West (I found a landscape of Montréjeau on the Net), even if the subject represented reminds me of Italy. This friendly keeper of a herd of turkeys, with his cloak and his striped clothes, a cigarette at the corner of his lips, watches his birds on a terrace overlooking a mountainous landscape with a village.
