Object description :

"Gustave Lemaître «  Young Lady With Roses »"
Magnificent representation in pastel colors, of a young woman seated in front of a mirror, a bouquet of roses in her hand. A woman in the same time modest and provocative. We find in this canvas of the 19th century all the delicacy of the design and the skin texture in the works of his pairs: Alexandre Cabanel or William Bouguereau.

After studying at the Beaux-Arts in Marseille, he went to study in Paris with Alexandre Cabanel, William Bouguereau and Tony Robert-Fleury.
