Stewed stew spoon, copper. Struck on the stem with the monogram of Louis Philippe, summoned by the royal crown. EU Castle Brand, No. 7. Vintage 1845 inventory or delivery. King of the French from 1830 to 1848, Louis-Philippe d'Orléans has many castles, particularly that of EU, located on the borders of Normandy and Picardy. Built on medieval ruins by the Duke of Guise at the end of the sixteenth century, it is enlarged and embellished by Louis-Philippe from 1821. Expropriated in 1852, the furniture will be scattered.
