Sign by Ax Porcelain Factory, Mid-18th-Century, Magnificient Pair of Faience Delft Round Dishes.   Magnificent and rare Delft pair of faience dishes, hand-painted in a blue cameo, depicting foliages and flowers.These Blue and White Delft dishes feature an overall composition with every space filled with designs and borders inspired by Chinese export porcelain.   Our plates signed on the backside in blue with the sign of The Ax Porcelain Factory, under Justus Brouwer (1739-1775). The Ax Porcelain Factory was founded in 1657 and produced until 1803.     Beautiful Dutch work, mid-1!th-century by the earthenware Delft factories, circa 1740-1760. One similar pair can be found at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.     Dimension: Diameter 13.97 In.     Excellent original condition, with little scratches.
