Beautiful watercolor painter Louis Bonnot said Lina Bill which represents a lively view of a gate of the city walls of Avignon, more precisely the Porte du Rhône.
The Porte du Rhône is located near the Saint-Bénézet bridge facing the Rhône and the island of Barthelasse. We see through this Gate, as the artist shows us very well, the Church of Our Lady of the Domes near the Palace of the Popes.
Settled in Toulon in the early 1880s, he is a pupil of Vincent Courdouan.
In 1886, at the birth of his daughter, he took the pseudonym Lina Bill in honor of his wife. And he goes to live in Avignon and continues his training with Paul Saïn.
He exhibited at the Salon des artistes in 1888 and won numerous awards.
He is a member of the Group of Thirteen.
His works are kept in different museums.
