Portrait of miniature man on ivory finely painted of the First Empire.
He was certainly a gambler because on the back of the miniature are Ace of Spades drawn in black ink and a partially readable rebus: "to all the vi2coeure (?)Is prepared"
Signed Cornu and dated 1811.
Very good condition.
Blackened wood frame and golden brass.
