"Plate Faience Marseille Widow Perrin Eighteenth"
Square dish in fine faience Marseille, workshop of the Widow Perrin, late eighteenth. Rich polychrome decoration which presents in the center an animated scene outside, of two children and a woman with the parasol looking in a castelet a spectacle of puppets. The outline is adorned with a set of combed in hollow underlined nets. Stamped VP in blue for Veuve Perrin on the back. Some small cooking defects on the back. No égrenures, no restorations. Dimensions: 20.90 cm x 20.90 cm - height: 2.50 cm. Claude Perrrin founded his faience factory in Marseille in 1733, when he died in 1748 his widow pierrette Candelot took control of the pottery, known as "Widow Perrin" and marking its production with a Siamese monogram "VP". His son Joseph and his daughter Anne took over the factory at his death in 1794, until its closure in 1803 Delivery via Mondial Relay
