Beautiful large square table sundial , with a Style-axis at the cut edge, pierced with a clover, the square base of deep bronze engraved , circle of hours in Roman numerals, as well as beautiful weapons in a coat of arms of very decorative wedding.
Here is the identification of the coat of arms on the sundial: Gabriel de Bertinaud (Saintonge), esquire, born in 1697, lord of Ponsoreaux, husband of Marthe Montchain (Guyenne) carrying for arms: sand (or gold) 3 hours of silver boar (which is Bertinaud) and a cross pattée (or Croisette) silver (which is Montchain: family of Treasurers in Parliament and others ...)
