"Stock Market Or Reticle In Taffeta, Leather And Indian Early Nineteenth Century"
Circa 1810/1830 Europe Elegant purse or reticle in taffeta and green leather lined with Indian dating from the early nineteenth century. Balloon cut with large pleated emerald taffeta pleats and patches of waxed and patinated leather with green ribbon piping. Flap tip closed by a button and a matching loop. Two ances in taffeta ribbons and paws on the top of the reticle. Interior doubled in taffeta and Indian dating from the XVIIIth century with a decoration in river of flower bouquets on a yellow background. Original assembly entirely sewn by hand. Excellent condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: 22cm X 22 cm. Thickness 7 cm Ance 24 cm Very beautiful European fashion object from before 1830. Oberstored in the iconography of the Empire and Restoration period, the reticle rarely comes to us in such good condition nowadays. A small task on the leather seam, taffeta slightly dirty in some places (very difficult to notice).
