Superb pair of candlesticks in sterling silver Louis XVI style. Punches from the city of Mexico for the year 1800. Antonio Forcada Tester and the Plaza. On each candlestick, 9 punches. On the base of the feet, there are 5 punches. -A punch of the tester Antonio Forcada: FCDA. - A date stamp for the year 1800, to the crowned M for the city of Mexico. -A rectangular punch with beveled corners representing an eagle. -A goldsmith's stamp: RTEL in a rectangle, which is not completely readable. - A punch in the Weevil, French control of the XIX century. On the balusters is the Weevil again. Three other punches on the binets. - An egg shaped punch. - The crowned M. -A rectangular punch with 3 letters: FRD. It should be noted 2 small holes on both sides of the binets. Two quality tests of the metal were made (zigzag) on each candlestick. One on the baluster, the other on the foot. The weight of each candlestick is 654 and 655 grams. Height: 21.7 cm. Foot diameter 12.3 cm. They are in superb condition.
