"Bust Of Sully"
Bronze bust depicting Sully (1560-1641), superintendent of finance in 1598 under Henri IV. It is at the origin of the recovery of the Finances of France, ruined by the wars of religion. The bronze with brown patina is pedestal on a piedouche in bronze with golden patina. The bust is of a good quality of carving, testifies the beard and the lion 's muzzle on the cuirass. The smile is laughing and the look lively. Wear of gilding on the piedouche.
