Beautiful and large oil on canvas signed Paul Denarié representing "The Feast of Therese" after the poetry of Victor Hugo. Very nice party, very lively, pastel colors and bright. This table is in very good condition and it is a large format. The canvas is in perfect condition and has never been cleaned. The golden frame is in good condition, some small chips of plaster in places but nothing important. At the back of the painting is inscribed "Fête Galante - Fête de Thérèse after the poetry of Victor Hugo - Paul Denarié, 9 rue de Provence in Paris". ------- Paul Denarié, also known as Jean Sorlain, born in 1859 in Paris and died in 1942 in Paris, is a French painter. He began the profession of painter at the age of 15 years. His workshop was located at 9 rue de Provence in Paris. As a result, he works a lot in Paris and its surroundings, including Montmartre where he is nicknamed "the dean of painters" and on the banks of the Seine where he painted his last painting in September 1941.
