"Bronze Mirror, Japan, Meiji, Circa 1900, Cranes In The Pines"
Classical shape, round with rectangular handle, this bronze mirror is a worthy representative of folklore and Japanese symbolism. Everything is there, or almost, the flying cranes in the pines with sinuous and pierced trunks, shy hundred years old Kappa at the foot of the tumultuous waters ... Probably marked of the manufacturer on left, and wishes in big letters in the center. The mirror side has some spots, scratches, I showed you the main on my detailed pictures, otherwise very good condition.
Japanese work, from the late nineteenth century - 1900, Meiji period.
Dimensions: 24cm in diameter. Handle 10cm. Total height 34cm.
