Circa 1840 Indes for fashion in Europe Square double-breasted cotton tulle shawl embroidered in Delhi in the mid-nineteenth century and exported for fashion in Europe. Bottom in very fine cream cotton tulle embroidered silk floche cream with reversible effect. Cashmere pattern of rows of boteh inclined in borders. Two elegant spandrels in two angles of the shawl which is folded in two diagonally. Original fringes made of cream silk tapered and knotted on all four sides. Excellent condition of color and conservation.
