"Urbino. Dish "a Istoriato""
Urbino majolica dish with polychrome decoration in full "a istoriato" of a religious scene drawn from the acts of the Apostles * Titled on the reverse "La spiritata". Ateleir Patanazzi. Last quarter of the sixteenth century, about 1580.
Diameter: 30.2 cm. Two pieces glued back on the wing between 7 and 8 o'clock.

* This scene illustrates the vision of Saint Paul according to which the apostle, in the city of Philippi, a servant possessed by a spirit of divination. 16.16 As we went to the place of prayer, a servant who had a spirit of Python and who, by guessing, gave a great profit to her masters, came to us. 16.17 and began to follow us, Paul and us.
