Dameron Emile-Charles: born May 20th, 1848 in Paris and died in 1908 in the same city, is a famous French painter.
Pupil of Léon Germain Pelouse and Constant Troyon, Émile Dameron is maybe encouraged by this one to go to Pont-Aven. He also paints to Clisson, Dinard, and Concarneau. However, the workshop sale reveals a roaming artist and the journey in Brittany seems to be a single episode of the debuts of its career. He gets closer to the style of the School of Barbizon where nature and his characters constitute the central theme of the pictorial works.

Emile Charles Dameron begins his career by drawing arms coats on door-cars, then he composes lithographies for posters of Opera or the music scores.
In 1870, finished war, Pelouse is interested in him and pulls him to Cernay. He makes his first sending for the French Artist Show in 1872 "Cour d’Auberge à Cernay-la-Ville." He lives «Au «Rendez-vous des Artistes» at Léopold Lequesne inn.
In the World Fair of 1878, he is rewarded by the criticism. He spends the summer in Pont-Aven and 1878; he wins a medal of 3rd class in the Show for " Les Bords de l’Aven."
In 1881, his paintings " Cabane de bucheron dans la Vallée des Vaux de Cernay " was worth to him a medal of 2nd class; the State buys it for the Museum of Luxembourg.
From 1888, he travels in France, his talent is recognized. It accepts numerous responsibilities, it often elected in the Jury of Shows. He promoted to the rank of Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur in 1888.
He is highly esteemed of his colleagues. We see in the Show Breton Jules stopping in front of the paintings of Dameron and going into raptures over the correctness of its Art and its finds.
