Sculpture, La Palme de la Victoire, bronze test with brown patina nuanced green. Cast ironcire perdue. Old edition of the 1950s. It rests on a wooden base. Signed P. LE FAGUAYS, marked SUSSE Fes Edts Paris, Lost wax and bears the seal Susse Brothers publishers. The wooden base bears a metal plaque of the Union syndicale patronale des transports publics of Marseille dated March 12, 1956. Pierre le Faguays, born in Rezé in 1892 and died September 8, 1962 in Paris, is a French sculptor of style Art Deco. A student of Vibert at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva, he worked with various publishers, including Max Le Verrier, the Susse foundry, Etling, J.Lehman's nephews, among others. His style is close to that of Demetre Chiparus. He is the author of the Stele and Evolution group. He also participated as an interior designer with two monumental bas-reliefs for the Civil Aviation Hall during the 1937 Special Exhibition in Paris.
