Gold brooch set with a porcelain plaque representing a hen brooding her chicks and a rooster on a landscape background. This theme is inspired by Roman mosaics and taken up by artists of the early nineteenth century Roman. It is often treated by micro-mosaicists such Antonio Aguatti or Giacomo Raffaelli.
