Bust of a young girl in gilded bronze (desecrated by place) signed E.Houssin Paris. Round pedestal in two colors of marble.Edouard Houssin is a French nineteenth-twentieth sculptor born in Douai in 1847, died in Paris in 1919.Sculptor of busts and figures, he was a student of A.Millet and schools of Douai, From 1873 exhibited at the Paris Salon, obtaining honorable mentions in 1879,1881,1883,1885, bronze medal in 1900, for the universal exhibitions. The city of Douai owes him a bronze bust of Henri Berthoud. He executed many monuments in the north, museums in Douai and La Rochelle. He writes at the base of the bust behind: bronze AG Paris, as well as a number: F 239. Height: 13 cm
