Lithography mezzotint from the Symbolist painter Eugène Carrière representing a large, magnetic and historically very interesting portrait of the famous painter Puvis de Chavannes.

This lithograh is signed from the hand of the artist.

Eugène Carrière was well known for his lithography sorecognizable with its evanescent chiaroscuro manner and black and brown tones.

There is a copy of this lithograph at Tokyo National Museum.

Presence of foxing in the margins irrelevant. Sight: 58.8 x 42.7 cm - With its liner: 68.7 cm x 51.5 cm.
