Nice little mortar, made of bronze, with its original pestle. The body is alternately decorated with masks of lions, and men; genuine item.
Second part of 17th century, French working, probably a cast from "Le Puy" ...
The condition is unfortunately not excellent, in addition to the cleaned patina , the rim has a slight bump ..
Dimensions: 8.5cm high, 13cm diameter at the top, base: 8.7cm diameter.
