Very nice copy of an unusual model of light room by Charles Chevalier equipped, in addition, three large square shaped glasses of different powers for myopic people. The light room is kept in its red morocco case lined with velvet. The instrument is signed: "Charles Chevalier, Ingr. Patented Optician / Palais Royal 163 Paris ", ie at his first address before he moved to 158 Palais Royal. Despite a crack on one of the two colored glasses (visible in the photos) and a small break in a corner of one of the large square glasses, but not in any way the use of the clear room, the instrument is in a very good state of conservation: the prism is intact, the other glasses have no defect, the mechanism to mount the clear room on a table or any support works perfectly, the varnish is in good condition and the box of transport. The instrument measures 22 to 45 cm deployed at maximum. The box: 25 × 5.5 × 3 cm
