"Silver Jug, France 1798-1809 By Milleraud Bouty"
Tripod silver jug in ovoid shape with a chimney collar resting on claw feet with acanthus leaf hooks. The side hinged lid ends with a pinecone plug, the zoomorphic spout is finished with a lion's head. The high handle in blackened wood is two points of attachment maintained at the neck by a wall of acanthus leaves. Silver : 950/1000, Hallmarks: 1st Rooster Paris (in use from 1798 to 1809) Paris warranty, Master Orfèvre: Louis Joseph Milleraud Bouty 1779-1811 (second poincon in the shape of a vertical diamond) Height: 26 cm Length: 19 cm Weight: 771 gr Gross Good condition of conservation, without shocks or deformations Trace of repair on the neck
