"8 Golden Wood Chairs Decorated With Palm Tree, Venice, Art Deco Period."Exceptional suite of 8 gilded wooden chairs with palm decor. These chairs come from the furniture of the Hotel Danieli in Venice. They are very tall and wide. They date from the Art Deco period, around 1940. They are entirely carved by hand. Their back is openwork decorated with branches and palm leaves, the feet are decorated with trunk of palm. The folders are also worked on the back. The feet are curved. These chairs are solid beech, covered with a plate, then gilding. The seats were redone later, in red leather. The seat is spring loaded. It is quite common to find lighting with palm decor, but the furniture is very rare. In addition, their provenance is interesting ... Italian work circa 1940. These chairs are in good condition, note an old restoration on a front foot. Some chips of gilding due to natural wear ... A small leather tear on one of the chairs (at the nails). Dimensions: 113cm high, 56cm wide, 56cm deep. 48cm seat depth, 53cm for seat height.
