"18th Century Transition Chest Of Drawers By J. Stumpff"
Large dresser opening with five drawers, veneer of amaranth and rosewood. Work of transition style (because "transition" is not a period but only a style) of the Louis XV period. Stamped J. Stumpff, Jean-Chrysostome Stumpff (1731-1806) got his master on August 27, 1766. JME (punch of Jug).
Gray and white veined red marble top.
Conditions report: restored by Atelier Dubarry in May-June 2018. Buffer varnish. Falls, hooves and apron are not original.
